What is the Gospel

The Gospel is a beautiful love story that God wrote for you! I would recommend reading the book of  for an in depth understanding of everything God did for us!

Read Romans Here
The Gospel can be Summarized into 6 main points
-God created us and called us good
- Man sinned causing a separation between us and God
-The Wages of Sin are Death
- Jesus lived a perfect life without sin
-Jesus died the death we deserved on the cross
-Jesus rose from the dead after 3 days defeating death

When Jesus died for us, He was taking the punishment we deserved. This is called a free gift in the bible. Us going to heaven depends on whether we accept this gift or not.

" For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,"
Ephesians 2:8

How To Be Saved

In the last portion, we talked about accepting that gift. In order to accept this gift there needs to be certain actions taken by you. The Bible says that we must repent and believe the gospel. Lets look at what that looks like.

The first step in coming to God is understanding and confessing that you are not good enough to be saved alone. To confess that you need Jesus to save you. I suggest you take time to get quiet, and let your heart be humble before God.

Secondly you must ask God for forgiveness. After you've come to terms with the fact that, without Jesus, you would go to hell for your deeds, you tell God you're sorry for the way you have been living, and ask Him to forgive you.

Third, Turn away from your sins, and towards God. You cannot be walking in sin and towards God, the two are in opposite directions. In order to live life for God, you must turn away from sin and walk in obedience towards Him daily. When Jesus died for you, He broke the chains that sin had on us, with His help we can walk free from sin.
God promises to help you!

Finally, put your trust and faith in Jesus alone. You cannot believe in God halfway. In this moment you must make the decision to put your whole trust in God for the saving of your soul. You are not able to do this alone, so depend on what Jesus did to save you.

God is not wanting just a surface level relationship with us. He created us and desires us greatly! After you've done the steps above, you have removed all barriers between you and God! Take this opportunity to know the one who created you. The one with all knowledge and wisdom, the one with all power and glory. The creator of the universe wants to know you! Don't pass up on this amazing opportunity :)

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Romans 1:17
